La Belgique Gourmande, an established name within the Rue de la Colline, 9 in Brussels.
This case is known for offering truly top Belgian specialties (chocolate, beer, ...).
A major concern of the owner of this chain is energy consumption and temperature within the store.
The owner has a passion for his products and wants to have everything exposed to the maximum. Unfortunately, in the past, many stores were equipped with traditional halogen lighting.
Because of the urge for a lot of light, masses of halogen lighting were used. This brought with it a huge energy bill, but the biggest problem was the heat development within these stores.
Products such as chocolate are hyper sensitive to high temperatures. Extra heavy air conditioners were provided to compensate for this. What the energy bill extra taxed.
Warm white 2700K was chosen for this retail chain and our: The Flat Round ™ was used.
These ultra-thin panels with very limited installation height were the ideal replacement for the existing openings.
Two types were used within the store: the TFR-275-WW-24V and TFR-330-WW-24V.
Energy consumption was measured before relighting and after relighting.
With this relighting the client saves no less than 83% energy and the store has a higher lux value of + 130Lux everywhere. A total win-win promotion.
